LDAR Technician Job Posting
Summary
Will perform leak detection and repair (LDAR). Will perform a variety of applicable data collection and evaluation techniques. Develops and maintains records. Work often involves complex analyzers, instrumentation or equipment for gathering data and for optimizing system performance. Primary job duties include leak detection and repair at chemical and manufacturing facilities using environmental air sampling techniques. Candidates must be comfortable working in a highly regulated, detail oriented environment and must adherence to strict rules and procedures at all times. A successful candidate must take pride in his/her work at all time.
Responsibilities

Perform LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) policies and procedures following tasks in assigned project site.

Daily Analyzer calibration.

Routine repair and maintenance of analyzers.
-
Quarterly certification of analyzers.
-
Coordinate LDAR field activities with LDAR contract technicians.

Maintain and complete monitoring schedules.
-
Repair leaking components.
-
Generate work requests and follow-up on LDAR maintenance repairs.

Maintain record keeping on monitoring and repairs.
-
Maintain identification of LDAR components and applicability reviews.

Performs other daily operation and maintenance tasks of a routine nature.

Performs monthly, quarterly, and annual component inspections to ensure compliance with local and federal requirements.

Implements minor Instrumentation repair as required by inspections.

Identifies facility modifications for fugitive inventory updates.

Prepares leak reports for monitoring and reporting.

Maintains fugitive emissions monitoring instrumentation and equipment.

Performs other unspecified duties for clients under the direction of supervision.
Qualifications/Experience
-
Must have Good oral and written communications skills
-
Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
-
Previous experience working of an industrial (i.e. fitting, welding, instrumentation, etc.) refinery (i.e., operations, maintenance, etc.) nature preferred.

Fugitive Emission Monitoring (Method 21) with TVA 1000B and calibration experience and working in petrochemical facilities/outdoor industrial environments preferred but not required.

Experience working with P&IDs (must be able to read and understand)

Will perform work in adverse weather conditions on the field (Work in hot/cold environments, inclement weather)

Will be required to work at heights 200ft or more

Overtime may be required at times.

No relocation assistance provided.

High school or equivalent education, college student is preferred.

Demonstration of high integrity and work ethics must take pride in ones work daily.

Must pass a rigorous background check and drug test.
-
Must be reliable and have dedicated transportation.
Benefits/Compensation
-
Salary based on experience. Starting 10-15 hr. cash (Taxes will not be withheld)

Evaluation at 90 days. Possible pay increase at that time. Semi-annual evaluations after that.

FRC uniforms are provided.
